Affordable, safe diving... Paamul, Mexico, is one hour's drive south of Cancun, and just 10 miles south of Playa del Carmen. To get there, simply take the highway from Cancun south towards Tulum (highway 307). After Playa del Carmen and the ecopark Xcaret, drive until you see the signs for Paamul. Turn left there. Go straight, turn left at the circle. Scuba Mex Dive Shop is to the right on the road on the beach. The highway is well maintained and you can easily get to Paamul by car, taxi or bus. Weather permitting, two dives go out a daily. Divers should arrive 30 minutes before the 9:00am morning dives and before 2:00pm for afternoon dives. The boats leave promptly.
